5 reasons to bike

It boosts our heart

5 reasons to bike  A bike, our average speed is between 5 and 15 km / h, depending on the terrain. But it is not the most important, especially you drive smoothly, without stopping, and always at the same pace. Now this is the best way to develop cardiac endurance, and respiratory and circulatory functions. Indeed, accustomed to exercise, the heart beats more slowly, lungs are ventilated, oxygenated muscles. As health benefits!

Moreover, according to a 2011 study from the British Medical Association, biking for 30 minutes each day would halve the risk of cardiovascular disease.

It makes us melt everywhere

Pedaling regularly, it taps into our fat stores, which are located in specialized cells, adipocytes. In town, we drive endurance (not resistance, as in the mountains): Action muscles consume oxygen and burn fat.

Result: it strengthens the buttocks, calves, thighs, abs and even the legs (yes) while strengthening the back muscles. As a bonus we also fight against cellulite, since active blood and lymphatic circulation in the thighs.

It's good for morale

Over the past 10 years, studies have shown that cycling was good for morale. Indeed, on one side we burn the excess adrenaline from blood (it makes zen) and on the other, it stimulates the production of endorphins, the famous pleasure hormones that are secreted by the pituitary gland and hypothalamus (that makes you happy).

Moreover, fresh air and proximity to nature, we resource it ... and it helps us a fresh start!

It burns calories

65 minutes bike on flat ground at 15 km / h = 500 kcal less. Or a hamburger with cheddar supplement or a waffle covered with maple syrup.

You're not a fan of speed? No panic: 60 minutes of cycling at a moderate pace (8 km / h) = 280 Kcal. Either a share of quiche Lorraine, a slice of pizza margherita or 100 g of cake ham / olives.

It is ecological and economical

On one hand, it protects the planet by reducing our emissions of greenhouse gases and contributing to lower noise pollution in large cities. On the other, it is good for our wallets avoiding one or two fill-ups ... Well, that's good.
