Pace yourself , especially if you have heart disease , if you have high blood pressure or if you have back problems . Avoid shoveling all the snow at once. Shoveling regularly and thus preventing snow build up, you do not stay out in the cold for too long moments passed overworking yourself and lifting heavy loads of snow.

Before going out in the cold, do warm-up exercises by leaning forward, back and on the side with rotation of the back, and do not forget to drink before and after plowed.

Lift Smart! Not to hurt your back, try not to raise shovel full of snow. Instead, use a mild type excavator pushes snow , bend your knees and hold the shovel close to you when push snow to the side. This technique will also reduce the twisting and turning that could hurt your back.

Take a break! Rest if you feel tired . And if you feel pain in the chest or back , put your shovel . Studies have found that carrying heavy loads in cold weather can cause a heart attack.
If health problems prevent you from using a shovel to remove snow , think snow thrower. It is easier to use .
